This is the fourth Business Proposal Scorecard(Targeted Message). Main focus: Adjust to Client Circumstances Some companies submit similar proposals to many potential clients. Clients want to receive proposals that are geared to their needs and will feel that a standard proposal just doesn’t meet their specific situation. You need to be sure that any proposal you write at least appears to be specifically geared to the client’s circumstances. Proposal writers want to build on a company’s past success and state that the prospect’s situation is just like a project the company did for another client. However never say that you’ve modified the proposal your did for that client to fit the current prospect’s need.
Power Paragraph: Elements of the Power Paragraph
First goal: State that the client has special needs or unique circumstances. For example ,PokerMania.com (Web site with poker instruction, supplies, accessories, and news on upcoming tournaments by state). Proposal for the soon-to-open Washington County Race Track Card Room to offer an interactive computer poker course, with a simulated game environment, to enable new players to learn how to play the five types of card games offered by the card room. The closest card room to the Washington County Race Track is 400 miles away and most of the targeted customers in Washington County have never played in a casino-type card room or extensively played Texas Hold’Em and other card room games
Second goal: Explain how the proposal is unique for the client. For example, PokerMania. This project is to prepare an interactive training site that can be used on eight training computers in the entrance to the card room. The training site will have four levels, from beginner to advanced, to help people feel more comfortable playing. The first two levels for beginners are specially designed for Washington County and will feature game tables as they exist in the actual card room and will have over 100 practice hands and three strategies that con be played with each hand.
Conclusion: State that the proposal’s unique features will produce the best solution for the client. For example, PokerMania. The goal is to get people to try playing; the indepth instruction at many different levels offers the best solution for all levels of players to get involved in at least the $1 tables.
