This the second Business Proposal Scorecard(Project Goals). Main Focus: Perfectly Match the Client’s Goals.
You start an effective proposal by communicating first that you understand the customer’s needs. The next step is to show your proposal matches the client’s goals.Clients are typically drawn toward proposals that offer perfect synergy with their needs and goals and that synergy offers you a strong chance of obtaining their business.
Power Paragraph: Elements of the Power Paragraph First Goal: State what the client feels are its goals I find it helpful when writing a proposal to think that the client’s job is to clear out its in basket or to-do list. The client has projects or problems that need to be addressed; an effective proposal helps clients see that they are wiping a project off the list .Your proposal will sell when you do the best job of eliminating a to-do action on the client’s list.
Second Goal: State why that goal was chosen. In this power paragraph , you are trying to reinforce that the client is proceeding on a wise course of action. Stating that the goal chosen by the client makes sense and helps the client be decisive in moving ahead with your proposal.
Conclusion: State that the goal is achievable. You may not be able to meet the client’s goal entirely, but you should still assure the client that your proposal, together with other action on the client’s part, will meet the goal. If the goal can’t be met, the chances are the client will not move ahead with anyone’s proposal.
